For all things Google
claims that transparency, applications that have been optimized for the
wider screen size of the tablet was not one of them. Since the first version to
support Android tablets hit the scene back in 2011, it was a bit of a Doozy
trying to select the applications that have been specially made for larger
devices.
Fortunately, Google heard
pleading his loyal user base and updated store Play Google, to
demonstrate the tablet -optimized apps. Now, when you look at the application
on your tablet, you specifically see the applications that were actually made
for your big screen.
If you happen to stumble upon the
applications that were only optimized for the phone, you will see a black bar
above the main page warning you of such applications under. And when you
venture into the top in the store Play Google,
you can choose whether you want to see all of the applications or those that
are specifically designed for tablets.
Behind the scenes, Google makes a
big push to get developers to sell their applications as a tablet optimized.
Whether it's a sign of more tablets (as updated Nexus 10) or Google just making
sure those things remain user-friendly, yet unknown. We're just glad to know
which application is the right application to download.
